Is it bad to have feelings for your best friend? ?

Ok so me and this guy I REALLY like him alot but he's my BEST friend and everyones saying were going to date because were with eachother all the time and we did date once and he tells every1 he got paid to date me just because he's inbarsed to date me but now we hang out at and out of school everyday and he said he thought I was cute and he knows another guy I like and is trying to make me date him and he dosent no I like him should I tell him?
