Could doing experiments on anti-matter turn out to be dangerous?

I mean when combined with matter, they destroy eachother. Couldn't this be potentially dangerous, if too much is trapped? We don't know much about anti-matter and if it is the cause of The Big Bang, maybe that's something we shouldn't be tampering with. I'm all for technology, but I think humans are getting ahead of themselves. Building atomic bombs, keeping deadly viruses locked away, trying to clone animals and people. Humans are trying to play God, and in the end it's not going to turn out well. Just my opinion, I'd love to hear everyones, even if it's disagreeing with my own :)
