Small Strange Hairs... Help?

I have small strange hairs that grow down my side, they are mostly colorless and it seems as if the follicles are infected because the roots of the individual hairs (They pull loose easily) are covered in a white pus-y substance. I don't know; what they are, what to call they problem or how to deal with it.
