Why does my spouse keep getting fired before his three month review?

My spouse is a line cook in a kitchen. He has over 15 years experience, yet can't seem to hold a job for more than three months. He always gets fired just before his three month review. This seems to be going on for about three years now, since the birth of our son. I ask him the reason for this and time and time again the answer is " I don't know why, I did nothing wrong, or It is the industry". He is a hard worker, but has a strong personality so I am thinking this is the reason. Any suggestions as to alternate career choices for those working in the cooking industry, or how he can learn to work well with others? (that sounds like I am speaking to my child, not my spouse)
